Today I choose love

Cutout figures celebrating a bright green EarthAs I continue on this healing meditation journey for the country, it’s becoming more and more clear that there is so much within me that is being healed. And I’m finding that what is really being healed is a sense of separation.

The more I breathe, the more I clear. The more I clear, the more conscious I am of the unity of all things. The more conscious I am of the unity of all life, the more I am able to live from a place of at-one-ment. And when I am consciously living from that place of oneness, I am more easily able to remember that the only thing that ever needs to be healed is a sense of separation, for that sense of separation is the illusion that is at the root of all appearance of disharmony and dis-ease. As the song goes, “let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”

I was reading a bit of Joel Goldsmith’s The Infinite Way the other day, and was reminded of why I value him so much as a spiritual teacher. At the beginning of the book, he says “‘the Word was made flesh’ – but it still is the Word…Cause becomes visible as effect, but the essence or substance is still the Word, Spirit or Consciousness.” His statement that “what appears as our world is the Word made flesh” is what struck me most profoundly. Because it is really our collective Word, or consciousness, that we are seeing made flesh in what is currently being acted out on the national stage, by our government and political leaders, by our media. And the beauty of that recognition is that we have the ability to affect change, by changing our collective Word, and then acting from that new consciousness.

This 40 days of healing prayer is really about being “at cause” using the power of our Word, of our consciousness, to create space for this unity of life to be revealed from beneath the veil of apparent separation. With every thought, we are creating our collective reality. Unconscious use of that power has brought us to our current collective state. With this healing prayer journey we can transmute lower energies that are rooted in a belief in separation into the highest vibration of love. And yet, to quote Tagore, “you cannot cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.” This journey is about “being the change” in consciousness and in action – thought, word, and deed.

Every moment is a moment of choice. We can choose love or we can choose fear. Today I choose love.

And through your journey of transformation and my journey of being the change, I am being transformed – we are all fanning the flames of desire to be one within. I loved your reference to at one ment which of course is all about forgiveness and healing. I have been saying the ho’oponomo prayer and it is a beautiful cleansing mantra. This morning I envisioned my daughter’s kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Crehan lending her amazing calm energy and ability to engage a group of kinetic five year olds to focus. She was able to create this amazing atmosphere in the kindergarten room where there was cooperation, play, learning and being united in purpose. I googl’ed everything I need to know I learned in kindergarten – Sumaiya – talk about synchronicity – you have to read this: http://www.peace.ca/kindergarten.htm Ooh what a movement you have started my dear.
May your day be overflowing with love and light and remember to have your cookies and milk at 3 pm! Hugs!
